We’re expecting some severe winter weather in the Netherlands. From Sunday onwards, it will feel like -20, with heavy snowstorms and wind. The KNMI (Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute) announces Code Orange, which takes effect Sunday at midnight. In most places, we’re expecting at least 10 centimeters of snow.
However, our corona test streets in Bunnik en Schiphol will remain open. We have, of course, taken all precautions to do so! We will pick you up with our PCR taxi to come and test at our emergency street for safe testing. Testing companies on location also continues. Below you can read what you can expect from us and how you can take a corona test at one of our locations.
Precautions in our Test Street
To keep our testing streets safe, we have arranged for snow shovelers to keep the streets free of snow. This way, people can still safely come to our test streets to get their corona tests done. We also protect our tents from the snow with heaters. That way, the snow won’t be piling up, and we can remain open for safe testing. We’ve also turned-on heating everywhere, bought extra ice melt salt, and even a salt spreader tool. We’re entirely prepared for this snowstorm and have taken all the precautions to keep our testing streets open in full force.
Weather Forecast in the Netherlands
Code Orange will take effect from Sunday at midnight. Besides freezing temperatures, we’re expecting a decent snowfall. The snowfall in combination with strong wind means that we have to be extra careful about keeping our test streets safe. However, we believe that testing should continue. For people that won’t be able to get to the test street, we offer a PCR-Taxi. They will get picked up from their homes and taken to one of our locations to take the test.
Transport to the testing location
We want to keep our corona testing streets open no matter what. That’s why we have arranged for a taxi that will pick up people for safe testing at one of our facilities. We’re offering this service at a discounted rate, so people can still test if they need to.
Book our PCR taxi if you need help to get to one of our testing locations. Our PCR Taxi is snow proof, and we’re 100% prepared to continue testing.
